About Choosing Your Ideal Packaging Equipment
Choosing packaging equipment can be a mine field, as there are many versions of machines to create the same process.
Case Sealers for example, apply sticky tape onto cartons, they all have different ways to do this, as they need to be adjusted for height and width, some use linier screws to do this (which is slow), some rack and pinion with wheels to turn to move up, down and in and out whilst others use struts to do the same movement.
Also the way you remove the tape dispensers to allow the operator to replace the used tape reel for a new one, and how difficult are they to run the tape through the dispenser to prepare it to apply the tape onto the carton.
All the above needs to be invesigated before committing to purchasing a Case Sealer, knowing a model range doesn't mean that they are suited to your environment, it only means familiarity with that mark.
Machines need to be efficient to your environment, they need to be easy and safe to use, quick to adjust and same to feed the sticky tape ready for use and this is where knowledge and experience becomes invaluable.
